Panagis Polykretis, PhD

Graduated in Biology with highest honors, received special recognition for academic excellence. International PhD in Structural Biology from the Magnetic Resonance Center (CERM) at the University of Florence. His expertise lies in the application of biophysical and molecular biology techniques for the structural characterization of proteins and the study of cellular toxicity mechanisms that trigger aggregation processes implicated in neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Alzheimer’s disease. He was the first scientist to hypotheze and describe the immune reaction again self-tissus triggered by the distribution of COVID-19 genetic vaccines beyond the injection site (Scand. J. Immunol. 2022, 96:e13160; Autoimmunity, 2023, 56:1, 2259123)
